Bring along your favorite beer (doppelbock, imperial stout, oatmeal stout, dry stout, porter or abbey dubbel are best, but feel free to bring anything you like) and chocolate expert Kym from our neighborhood's own The Chocolate Clinic will pair handmade, bean-to-bar chocolates from across the U.S. with your suds. This is chemistry! Let's see what we can concoct.

The Chocolate Clinic is a local purveyor of craft chocolate, focusing on bean-to-bar, small batch & handmade. To learn more about them stop by their online shop at www.thechocolateclinic.com or visit us at one of our many events around the PHL.

SPECIAL: Buy your beer at nearby Brew (15th and Mifflin) and receive a 25% discount on any bottle purchase! Just show your ticket for the event to redeem the offer.

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for "not-yet" members!

Miss Rachel of West Passyunk's Miss Rachel's Pantry will demonstrate three exquisite and tasty vegan recipes for a small group. Learn new cooking techniques, how to get creative with vegan grocery choices, and taste the results together.

Miss Rachel's Pantry began with Rachel Klein and an itty bitty kitchen in 2007, to fill a need for homestyle vegan eats.

Since then, they've grown to include a full service catering company; four-course communal dinners at our Farmhouse Table, a meal delivery service and cooking classes! Their kitchen staff is headed by Chef Rachel Klein, Executive Pastry and Sous Chef Carley Leibowitz and Assistant Chef Chris Graves. They're still in an itty bitty kitchen, but they're making big things happen!

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for "not-yet" members.

Spring IS coming!  And so are Passover and Easter, bringing with them all our favorite holiday treats … briskets, hams, egg and cheese casseroles, matzohs slathered with sweet butter, coconut macaroons and chocolate bunny ears — oh, those decadent and delectable chocolate bunny ears!  But if you’re watching your waistline, cholesterol or blood sugar, holiday meals can feel less a celebration and more like a mine field.

Don’t fret! You CAN have your cake and eat it, too! At this Healthy Fats Chat, South Philly Co-op member and Certified Health Coach D’Arcy Webb will explain how fats can be your secret weapon to eating healthfully and feeling satisfied--not deprived! D’Arcy will share with you the good-for-you fats that make meals a pleasure, and keep your family and guests healthy AND happy. You'll learn first-hand how to prepare some of her favorite guilt-free indulgences, and you'll also take away some tips and recipes for your holiday table.

Be prepared to get busy in the kitchen!

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for "not-yet" members.
