May 2026 Round Up: Live Care Philly

Every month we highlight an organization you can support at the register. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our April Round up at the Register for PASA Sustainable Agriculture.

We Raised Over $180!

This Month's Round Up is Live Care Philly

Live CarePhilly 501(c)(3) Publishing is a growing ecosystem of resources enabling and connecting Philadelphians to the communities they seek and that seek them.

Their mission is to co-burden & amplify the efforts of those sacrificing to make Philadelphia a more beautiful and dignified place to be, they are first and foremost a facilitator of word— a printer / publisher. What revenue is generated by printing flyers, posters, booklets, and more, gets reinvested back into their Philly projects and partnerships.

Live CarePhilly's primary suite of free online resources includes a Philly neighborhood map linking to 80+ neighborhood landing pages rich with neighborhood specific information; Philly non-profit database & map giving users the ability to filter according to over a dozen categories; and a Philly artist / author store supporting local creatives.

Live CarePhilly's seminal effort though will always be The M.A.C. Project: a monthly donation funded with $100 from them, and $5 from every $7.60 subscription. The monthly subscribers may nominate any Philly headquartered non-profit, they may also vote for any of the nominated non-profits. Then on the 31st, a donation is made to the non-profit with the most votes. Simple.

Right now they have 23 subscribers affording a $215 monthly donation!

Since launching just over a year ago, Live CarePhilly raised and donated over $7,000 to more than a dozen Philly non-profits, and that's just through The M.A.C. Project!

The founders do far more than just coordinate, they show up. Live CarePhilly has transported thousands of pounds of surplus food and resources from functions and establishments to food pantries and shelters. They have spent hundreds of hours in partnership with Pheed Philly and Sunday LOVE Project making lunches for youths across kensington, and resource bags for the unhoused throughout Center City. They've hosted both intimate potlucks and corporate volunteer gatherings to educate, enable and motivate individuals toward Philly edifying thinking and action. They've connected Philly non-profits resulting in cross collaborative projects and actually, quite a bit more.

Live CarePhilly believes that they will rise or fall by community, that if their mission is truly for the people then it must be by the people. So grassroots efforts and interested individuals mean far more to them than corporate donations and government grants, they can not express enough when supported by individuals who truly see and want to encourage their vision.
