We’re excited to announce South Philly Provisions Co-op Wholesale, an exciting new benefit for Member-Owners! 

Think e-commerce for special orders, the Co-op way! Visit southphilly.provisions.coop and start shopping!

Through Provisions Co-op Wholesale, Members can purchase virtually anything available to us through the Co-op, even items we don’t carry. Over 30K items are now available and we’ll be growing that number over the coming months! 

Ordering through our wholesale program is a great way to save money Save up to 25% off retail prices!  Our online platform offers a streamlined system for placing, paying for, and picking up most Special Orders. Not everything on the platform must be bought in case quantities. The platform can be helpful for accessing Wellness items that aren't available in store. Shopping through our Provisions Co-op Wholesale Platform is a great way to support the Co-op instead of big box and wholesale stores! 

If you're a member-owner, check your email for an invitation from Shopify to South Philly Provisions Wholesale. The email will include your login credentials. Because Provisions Wholesale is a benefit of membership, only owners in good standing are eligible. If you didn’t get the email, visit southphillyfood.coop/my-equity to confirm we have your correct email address and that your equity is up to date.

What are the benefits of Provisions Co-op Wholesale?

Who can order?

  • While our retail store is open to the public, Provisions Co-op Wholesale is a benefit of member-ownership at South Philly Food Co-op.
  • Owners in good standing will have access to the Provisions website. 
  • For the purposes of this program an Owner in good standing is someone who is either fully invested in the Co-op (at $300 or have a remaining balance paid via the CEF), OR on an auto-installment plan through our website. If you make monthly payments at the register, please log-on to www.southphillyfood.coop/my-equity to enroll in auto-installments or pay your remaining balance to ensure you can gain access. 
  • Not yet a member-owner, join now. 
  • Local businesses and institutions can also enroll in Provisions Wholesale to become a business customer click here. 

When will I get my Provisions Wholesale Credentials Emailed to me? 

  • Existing fully-invested owners will receive an email on August 8th at 9 am.
  • New Members will get their credentials within 5-10 business days. 
  • Members who are on hold will get their credentials within 30 days after signing up for an installment plan at www.southphillyfood.coop/my-equity. If you’d like to start using your Provisions Wholesale account sooner, email [email protected] and we’ll expedite your account set up.  

What can I order? 

  • Our product selection just expanded by 900%! 
  • Choose from over 30K items including Co+op Basics and Co+op Deals products
  • To get started we’re offering products available through our main supplier UNFI but we plan to expand to other vendors we work with soon
  • If you don't see what you want, let us know, we can see if we can track it down for you, and also check back from time to time as we will be expanding the vendors we're working with for our wholesale and wellness offerings. 

What are some popular items that even small households may find value in buying in case quantities? 

  • beverages: 24 ct soda, spritzer, iced tea, and water
  • paper products: 48 ct toilet paper, 24 ct paper towel
  • cleaning products: 64 oz laundry detergent, 1 gal Doctor Bronners,  
  • snack food: 12 ct box of Kind, Cliff, or your favorite bars,12 ct jerky, 12 ct seaweed snack packs. 
  • coffee, tea, and herbs: 5 lb bag coffee, 1 lb bulk tea, 1 lb bulk herbs 
  • breakfast foods: 48 instant oatmeal packets, 12 ct small yogurt
  • canned goods & shelf stable items: 12 cans of beans, veggies, tuna, tomato, pasta, pasta sauce, and more
  • ready to eat shelf stable meals: 12 ct mac and cheese, ramen, canned soup, etc.  
  • frozen: 12 ct burritos, tamales, and more. 
  • baby care: 36 ct diapers, 16 ct baby food pouches 
  • kid friendly foods: 8 lbs of chicken nuggets, 48 apple sauce pouches, 36 granola bars, and more.

What kinds of items are available by the each or three pack as opposed to larger cases?

  • You will find a large selection of wellness items (bath and body as well as vitamins and supplements available by the each (or three pack).
  • Bath and Body: toothpaste, deodorant, soap bars, castile soap, shampoo, conditioner, cremes, & lotion as well as tampons, pads, & menstrual cups.
  • Vitamins and supplements: multi-vitamins, vitamins, supplements, essential oils, herbal remedies and tinctures, protein powders, and more.
  • Household items like: eco-friendly scrub brushes, cleaning cloths, spray bottles, and more
  • If you have a favorite brand of any of these items visit our site and place your order today.  

What still needs to be special ordered the old-fashioned way? 

  • Don’t see what you want to order? Give us a call at 215-920-1100 or stop by the store
  • Produce items, some local products, and items from our other vendors are still available through special order at the register or over the phone
  • Non-members can still place special orders the old-fashioned way under our basic special-order system through October 31, 2024, after that time special orders will be a benefit of membership. 

How much do I have to buy? 

  • Most items are only available in case quantities (ex. 12 cans of beans, 25# of rice)   
  • Some items are available in quantities of 3, or even individually, especially wellness items! 

How much do I save? 

  • Pricing through our Wholesale platform is already lower than in the store
  • We offer additional discounts based on volume
  • Save a minimum of 3% plus get an additional 5% - 20% based on volume discounts. 

What’s the lead time? 

  • Orders deadlines: 
    • 2 pm on Sunday for pickup Wednesday
    • 2 pm on and Tuesday for pickup Friday  
  • Pickups: 
    • We’re starting out with two pick-up days each week: Wednesday and Friday.
    • We will notify you when your order is ready for pickup 
    • Orders must be picked up by 8 pm on pick-up day

How do I pay? 

  • Pay by debit or credit card through our Provisions Wholesale platform via Shopify, your order will be processed when it is ready for pick-up
  • Pay by SNAP - EBT in store upon pick up

How do I pick up?

  • You’ll get an email notification when your order is ready for pick-up
  • Come to the front entrance at 2031 S. Juniper 
  • If it’s your first time, check in with a staff person and we’ll walk you through the pick up process
