Please join us for a night of volunteering, snacks, and cider at Novick Urban Farm on Thursday, October 6th from 5-7pm!
Novick Urban Farm is a three season organic farm that practices organic and sustainable crop rotation located in the Stadium District section of South Philly. You might have seen some of their tomatoes and peppers recently at our store!
We will come together for an hour or so of work on the farm to help close out their season, begin to shut down their summer sections, and harvest for our affordable market. We’ll end the night with snacks and fresh pressed apple cider around the fire. Plus we'll get the opportunity to meet Novick Urban Farm's 11 chickens!
With a small staff, Novick Urban Farm deeply appreciates involvement from the community and loves hosting groups.
All are welcome – there are tasks for any and all abilities!
What to wear: Novick Urban Farm encourages everyone coming to wear proper attire including covered shoes, and please bring work gloves if you have them. Be prepared for activities such as lifting, pulling, bending over, carrying, planting, harvesting, weeding, wheelbarrowing dirt, debris, mulching, maintenance tasks to the farm, and/or building projects.
RSVP: This event is free for our community but space is limited and RSVP is required. Please RSVP to [email protected].
*This event is weather permitting and will be rescheduled if the weather is poor*
