Valerie (she/they) is a born and raised Southern Marylander. A vegetarian and self described chicken mom, she got her first agricultural job with the all organic Even Star Farms in Saint Mary's Maryland, and has been pursuing an interest in local biodiversity and food ethics since.
A professional in produce, an amateur in vegan cooking, and a loud angry music sommelier, the only thing that's known to keep her from a punk concert is rescuing a baby bird.
After arriving in Philadelphia in 2022 she quickly latched on to SPFC so she could be close to pawpaws and organic turnip greens once more.
