Alex is excited to be joining the South Philly Food Co-op team as a produce clerk. Alex grew up in the Philadelphia suburb of Lower Merion, and has been involved in the local 'good food' movement for the past five years.
Alex has worked as an educator, a farmer and a farmer/educator, he is passionate about increasing access to information and resources that allow people to make healthy, environmentally friendly, food choices.
In pre-pandemic times, Alex was an avid pick-up basketball fan, though these days he's happy to get some exercise biking around the city. Alex also loves spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with all sorts of vegan recipes.
If Alex was a vegetable, he'd be a potato, because he's versatile, and understated.
