Yvette (she/her) is new to Philadelphia and working towards becoming a teacher. She grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ. and just moved from Jersey City where she attended New Jersey City University. Yvette was originally interested in teaching high school history classes but is currently taking an interest in elementary school education.
She loves coffee and cooking Dominican cuisine. Yvette's favorite dish to cook is called "Tres Golpes" which is mashed plantains, fried salami, fried cheese, and onions. She grew up drinking Cafe Bustelo and is still stuck on it!
Yvette is the proud aunt of her brother's German Shepherd and also occasionally walks dogs.
She loves seeing new faces, meeting kind people, and being able to spread love through food.
